I have nothing negative to say about the bus company itself. The bus wasn’t new, but it was comfortable enough. We arrived on time and were picked up directly from our hotel. I had pre-selected our seats online, and those exact seats were available when we boarded — everything was organized and as expected, no surprises. What I didn’t enjoy was the road itself — winding, busy, and quite exhausting. The driver often had to overtake other vehicles, sometimes in ways that didn’t feel entirely safe. To be fair, I think this was more about the road than the driver. This stretch is genuinely challenging, stressful, and requires a lot of focus. Just something to be prepared for.

I spent quite a bit of time comparing quotes from different services, and this one was pretty good for me. I read that other companies arrived 1 or 2 hours before/after the agreed-upon time. In my case: 1. The departure time was 12:30, and my pickup was supposed to be at 12:00. My pickup was finally around 12:35. 2. They should provide a contact number that they have registered on WhatsApp, as they will communicate with you through this method. In my case, my number wasn't registered on WhatsApp, but the receptionist at my hotel helped me contact the driver, so it worked out fine. 3. There's a 10-15 minute stop halfway through the trip for a bathroom break or to get something to eat. 4. I also saw some complaints about dangerous driving. The truth is, the route has many hills, curves, and a lot of trucks that drive extremely slowly. Although it's not the safest option, I don't know if there's another company that can drive without resorting to risky maneuvers; there's no other way to overtake the trucks. Just something to consider. 5. The driver didn't speak English, but honestly, I didn't mind; there wasn't much to talk about anyway, haha. 6. While there were some companies that charged a bit less, I chose this one and I don't regret it. They pick you up and drop you off at the agreed-upon locations, and the van is super comfortable. I highly recommend them.

The bus service was great. The pick-up was on time, and I received a text and email the night before with the bus plate number and driver’s contact. The driver found me at the pick-up point, confirmed my details, and provided clear instructions. The ride was smooth, and I was dropped off at my hostel.

Booked a ride from Ha Noi to Mai Chau. Very easy to book and pay online! Met at the Ha Noi Opera House in a small vehicle and then transfered to a larger sized van outside of the city center for the remainder of the ride to the countryside. We stopped once for snacks and coffee about an hour into the drive. The drive was smooth and we were dropped off directly at our accommodations in Mai Chau. Would recommend for easy and affordable transportation!

The bus had wear and tear and had definitely seen better days. The driver drove slightly mad. He brought us from Hanoi to Mai Chau during Tet. We arrived safe and relaxed. 5 stars for working during the holiday.

The car runs smoothly, does not speed or overtake recklessly, does not overload passengers. The driver is very polite, the operator answers cutely, and takes good care of customers. If you travel from Hanoi to Mai Chau, you should choose Quoc Viet bus company.
