Because I personally see many foreign tourists on trips to tourist areas like this, but they cannot communicate with the driver, so no matter how enthusiastic the driver and assistant are, it is not certain that they will understand or not. The ladies at the office in Hanoi have clearly been trained well in customer service as they were very friendly and helpful. The bus stopped twice in 6hrs which I feel was appropriate and the driver told us in English how many minutes we’d be stopping for (we haven’t had this anywhere else in Vietnam so we were surprised!). They even dropped us off at our hotel in Ha Giang which I wasn’t expecting as the ticket said we’d be dropped off at their office. I would say this is a very good company to travel with.
