⭐ 4.5/5 Thanks to the Vexere app, I had a pretty good trip with HK Buslines. The bus was luxurious with a private cabin for each passenger, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Vexere’s hotline worked efficiently and showed responsibility toward customers. Cons: -0.5 star because the booking process on the app is too quick, making it easy to select the wrong step and impossible to go back, which could result in service cancellation. -0.5 star because drop-off is only at the company’s representative office, not at my home :) Pros: The bus departed and arrived on time. Pick-up was exactly at the registered location. Professional and helpful staff. Overall, I rate 4.5 stars for both the Vexere app and HK Buslines. At 22:00, I took the Single Cabin (2nd floor) from Hanoi directly to Sapa without going through Lao Cai. 1. I changed my reservation time over the phone 3 days before using the bus. Communication was possible in English and changing the time was also easy. If you arrive 10 minutes before the bus departure time, you can comfortably receive a paper ticket. ++ 2. They say the bus sometimes comes late, but it came on time. 3. The facility was clean and odorless. I used the 2nd floor, and although the 1st floor has a slightly higher ceiling, I definitely recommend the 2nd floor because it is twice as expensive. + 4. The seat did not fully recline, but only went to about 160 degrees (there is space behind the seat back to place shoes, etc.). The length is not generous, so if you are taller than 175cm, you may need to bend your knees slightly. - 5. There was no bathroom, but we stopped at a rest area twice during the 5 hours to Sapa and were allowed to use the restroom. 6. Hand out a bottle of water to each person. WiFi was connected well. The biggest disappointment was that while going to Sapa, the power on the bus was cut off, so it was impossible to charge my phone even though there was a USB plug. I don't know what it's like during daytime hours. There's no TV, but that's okay since I didn't plan on watching it in the first place. - 7. A guide who could speak English took the bus with us and accompanied us to the final destination. They made announcements right before departure and arrival, and especially when we first got on, they even moved our seats to a slightly larger space (but they didn't move us to the first floor, where the price was different). +++ 8. Even though I rode on the second floor, I didn't feel much of a rattle while driving and I didn't get motion sick. There was a protection device to prevent the seat from rolling over while sleeping (each seat also had a curtain for privacy). + 9. Departure at 22:00 and arrival at 03:00 the next day, but they allowed me to sleep on the bus until 06:00. ++ The service was perfect, to the point where it was very, very disappointing that this was a bus company that only operated during the day. Since the bus company (Sao Viet) returning from Sapa to Hanoi was the worst, it may look better, but if I go to Sapa in the future, I think I will check the timetable of this bus company (Sapa Express) first.

The informations about pick up locations etc are a little approximative, I asked Vexere where we could get to the big bus directly and at the end the location was still a mini van pick up that brought us to the bus but that is not a big deal. We left on time from Hanoi but made a very long break at the airport to wait some passengers I guess and arrived only 30 minutes late in Sa Pa so very good. There is no WC in the bus so think about it but you’ll do two 30min breaks in freeway area (3k dong to use the bathroom and they are very clean) and will also be able to buy a lot of different snacks and food. Very confortable seats ! Keep in mind that sometimes the quality of the roads is not that good so it can be very shaky. We booked the top 2 seats at the very back of the bus and you can feel the bus vibrating a lot, the lower seats just before these seats were much more confortable and we were able to use them as they were empty. Overall a very good journey :)

I couldn't enter my foreign number when I tried to book, so I entered a random VN #. The day of travel, they reached out to me by email, so we could communicate by WhatsApp, which I appreciated so much. The instructions to wait for the driver was also good. The bus was clean, I was given a bottle water and a wet towel. Wi-Fi was fast enough. USB charging port was good. The bus made restroom stops every 2 hours or so (2 stops between the airport and Lao cai). I didn't find the toilet onboard, so I panicked a bit, but I appreciated the frequent restroom breaks at the end. I'd appreciated if this was communicated to us in advance. The door to door transfer in Lao cai was great. I'm looking forward to my next trip with s trip.

The booking process was smooth. There apparently weren't enough reservations for my bus, so I was assigned to a different one. It was a bit confusing at first because my seat number changed – but ultimately it was an upgrade. We left Hanoi at 10 pm, made two stops, and arrived in Sapa at 5 am. The driver was a bit rough, but he drove safely. Thank you very much.

This was my second time with this company. I booked the 34-seater luxury bus Hanoi > Hoi An. A few hours before departure, they moved me to a later departure time with their 44-seater standard bus, saying my bus had issues. In the reshuffle they automatically put into a really bad seat. Messaging with them on Zalo before departure (Vietnamese only), I was able to move to a better seat. Hanoi departure was on time at 10:40pm. Pickup is right in front of a cafe near other buses; you'll need to ask at each bus to find yours. Bus was comfortable, seat had a blanket and free water available at the front. Good AC and a comfortable ride. No random people sleeping in the aisle. 8am breakfast stop north of Hue had good prices but only two toilets. Bizarrely, we stopped between Hue and DaNang to change a tire (??). Reached DaNang at 12:30, Hoi An at 2pm. I was very concerned when they changed my ticket at the last minute, but it all worked out okay. Do be aware that as a smaller bus operator, they will have more reliability issues. Some other Vietnamese companies can be absolutely horrible if things go wrong; I was very impressed with their communication via Zalo.

I had a very comfortable and safe journey. This bus supports foreigners very enthusiastically. Me and my friend were very happy for the staff's help. Vietnamese people are very friendly, very nice.

In the afternoon, I got a bus ticket that ran very well. In the afternoon, when I booked tickets A1 and B1, the staff put me near the back of the bus even though I arrived very early. This part of the bus doesn't have curtains and I'm in the sun so I called the operator so I could change seats. When I arrived in Hanoi, I switched to another car from this company and enjoyed it very much. The car was newer, comfortable and clean. Driver and staff are also enthusiastic.

I was a bit hesitant booking the sleeper bus because I have heard many horror stories about them, however the ride was very pleasant. We bought the double bed and even though I am 195cm high, the journey was comfortable and I was able to sleep most of the time (although I couldn’t fully stretch my legs. I would need another 20-30cm for that). The bed was wide and the two of us could fit there quite nicely. There were two stops along the way to Sapa (cca every 2 hours) for bathroom and snacks. The bed was clean and the bus driver honked only occasionally. I really recommend this bus. And if you are taller like me, I recommend paying extra for the better bed.
